The Sunset Old Fashioned was born during one of those evenings where the sky does all the talking, warm streaks of orange and gold sinking into the horizon. It’s a slow sipper, meant for the porch, the firepit, or just that quiet moment after the hustle.
We crafted this version with a little Bourbon Country twist—literally. Using our Candied Orange Twist Syrup from the jar and finishing with one of the twists as garnish, this Old Fashioned leans into flavor without overcomplicating things. The syrup pulls in that sweet citrus depth, pairing perfectly with the smooth spice of Elijah Craig.
Sunset Old Fashioned Recipe
Ingredients:

2 oz Elijah Craig Bourbon

2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters

1/4 oz Bourbon Country Candied Orange Twist Syrup (from the jar)

1 Bourbon Country Candied Orange Twist (for garnish)
Instructions:
Pour all ingredients over ice in a rocks glass. Stir gently—enough to chill, not dilute. Add the candied orange twist as garnish, and sip slow.
